Govardhan Parikrama

The sacred circumambulation of Govardhan Hill, approximately 21 kilometres. Devotees believe that performing this parikrama with faith is one of the most meritorious acts in the Braj pilgrimage tradition.

Mansi Ganga

A sacred lake at Govardhan, traditionally believed to have been created by Krishna's mind (manas). The lake is surrounded by temples and forms a central point of the Govardhan parikrama.

Daan Ghati Mandir

A temple at the "Daan Ghati" pass of Govardhan, traditionally associated with the story of Krishna collecting toll from the gopis passing through. The temple is an important stop on the parikrama.

Harideva Ji Mandir

An ancient temple at Govardhan housing the deity of Harideva. The temple is historically significant and serves as a starting point for the Govardhan Parikrama for many pilgrims.

Radha Kund

Considered the most sacred bathing place in Braj by many traditions, Radha Kund is a holy tank associated with Shri Radha Rani. It sits adjacent to Shyam Kund and is an essential stop during Govardhan Parikrama.

Shyam Kund

The sacred tank associated with Lord Krishna, situated next to Radha Kund. Together, these two kunds form one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the Govardhan area.

Kusum Sarovar

A beautiful stepped reservoir with elegant sandstone architecture, located between Govardhan and Radha Kund. The monument features cenotaphs and is one of the most architecturally striking sites in Braj.

Mukharvind (Jatipura)

The site at Jatipura where, according to tradition, the face (mukharvind) of Govardhan Hill can be seen. This is a key worship point during the parikrama.

Punchari ka Lautha

Traditionally regarded as the tail end of Govardhan Hill, Punchari ka Lautha marks an important point on the parikrama route. Pilgrims offer prayers here as part of the circumambulation.
